Junction-connection override value problem in archicad25 api

As I understood from the online documentation that (API_WallType sequence) is the junction parameter. but this value is not overriding the existing one in the wall settings when I assign a new value to it under junction-connection.

Is there possibly a function that is able to override the existing value to a new one?

as Im getting the new value of my wall junction in my dialoge info box but its not overriding the value in the wall settings dialoge.

any tips ?
