howto use the magic-wand tool via the API?

Hi 🙂

Is there a way to use the magic-wand tool via API-calls?

Example-Situation:
There are several closed polylines.
The result of invoking the addon should be the same as the result after a user has manually clicked inside each polygon with the magic-wand tool.

I found a way to access the properties of the magic-wand tool (API_MagicWandInfo) but i have no idea how do invoke a magic-wand-operation.

Has anyone a hint whether there is a way to simplify polygons considering the properties set in API_MagicWandInfo?
