Cannot open a Template

Hi, I'm a new Archicad user and I've been using Archicad 23 for a month now. My problem for now is that, I came across an ad in facebook about selling templates, I found out they have Archicad template for sale which I bought today but the thing is it was a PLN file when I extracted the rar file after buying it in their website. I tried opening it but it says "cannot read plan file" which I don't understand why. Can anyone help me?

Archicad 23 is an old version - current version is 27.

You are probably trying to open a file created in a version newer than 23 - so 23 can't open it.

This happens when the file is created in a newer version of archicad

if you go to the file, right click and properties, info & preview, what version is it?

if its version 24 or greater then you can not open it with Archcad 23.

Archicad will open files created in older versions software, but will not open files created in newer versions of the software.

if the old file is more than about 8 versions behind the current version, check the reference manual to see if the current version will open it.

Hi, yes apparently i just saw a post regarding my problem. Now I'm trying to download Archicad 27 to see whether I can open the file. Thank you for replying though.

I'm so stupid, it seems I didn't check which version the template was made and assumed right away that it can be open in Archicad 23. Thank you for solving my problem. I'm now trying to download Archicad 27 to see if my problem is solved.
