Manual Zones (Not) Detecting Doors

Long-story short:

I have to set zones to manual borders (vs. to inner edge or reference lines)
I want to set up a property that lists both zones on each side of the door

I set up a property that recalls “From Zone” and “To Zone” parameters available for doors and windows. In my experience this only works well if I use inner edge or reference line methods for zones. As soon as I manually define the zones the „From Zone” and „To Zone” parameters will have the same value. (In the example below: From Zone: Bath, To Zone: Bath - instead of From Zone: Bath, To Zone: Hall) The manually set zone boundary in this case is at the center of the wall, so I think it is expected to have To Zone for one of them, and From Zone for the other.) So this is where I get stuck. Any advice on how to solve this?
