In AutoCad there is a very useful command - "isolate layer" that when you click on an object in the drawing that layer is turned on and all other layers are turned off. Does ArchiCad have an equivalent one button approach or does anyone have any shortcuts to achieve this. Thanks in advance for any help.
David

You made your post in the 'wishes' forum by mistake I think. Until you know that something is impossible, your post should be in one of the "specific questions" forums, such as "Working in ArchiCAD". <E>😉</E> No problem.

The QuickLayers palette provides pretty much what you want I think. In the screenshot below, I've selected a wall, and am about to click on the "hide others' layers" button. Only the layer containing that wall will be visible then.

When I want to see the other layers again, I click the 'undo' button on the palette (as opposed to 'undo' in the edit menu). You can also lock all others, so that you can see them, but not modify them. Etc.

I recommend that you set up a shortcut key to show the QL palette. Personally, I use ctrl-shift-L QuickLayers and ctrl-L for Layers.

Maybe the "Wish" series of forums could have a "Have you read the manual yet?" prompt when someone hits submit, followed by a "Are you sure??" prompt before it actually allows someone to post a wish.
