Problems opening files

I have worked on archicad models in university, but the archicad 8 I have installed on my computer wont let me open the files I saved on university computers. It says it cannot open .pae files. I saved them as archive projects and solo projects. neither will work. Can anyone advise?

Files created by the educational version (.pae) cannot be read by the full version. There might be a way to get them converted. You probably need to contact your dealer of Graphisoft about it.

If you still have access to the educational version you might be able to copy/paste between them, though I wouldn't be surprised if this is also restricted.
