What version of ArchiCAD & PlotMaker are you using?
(Please put this info along with hardware specs into a signature line.)
Assuming AC8 & PM3:

Whether you are importing directly from the ArchiCAD project file or publishing to PMKs, the view is set to the incorrect scale. Check your viewsets.

Plotmaker drawing scale

<R>I'm sure I'm being as stupid as normal here but when importing a drawing into plotmaker it is rescaling.

eg I import a section drawn in Archicad at any floor plan scale 1:1,1:20 etc & once imported into Plotmaker it becomes 1:500.

I've found the attribute facility in plotmaker that lets me change the scale from 1:500 to whatever but when I do that I end up with the correct size drawing but oversized text .

Is it a problem with something I'm doing in Archicad, Plotmaker, or should I just get my drawing board back out? At the moment it would be quicker </R>

Check out the manual &/or help files regarding viewsets and publisher in ArchiCAD, and importing drawings into PlotMaker. The details may depend on how you have things set up.

You can check your views in the Publisher or View Editor palettes, which are expanded versions of the Navigator palette (see attached). In the Publisher dialog, make sure you have View Content selected. If the content settings are not correct (such as the scale) you need to change the settings on the Navigator side to what you want, then right click on the view and select "Redefine" from the menu.

& I've added system details as suggested

Thanks.
