topic Sorting line types in Project data & BIM

<T>Is there a way to sort linetypes in the attribute manager?, or anywhere?
They don't seem alphabetical, or logical, maybe its in order of creation?
I'd like to sort them so I can have Dashed 1 Dashed 2....
Any help?</T>

Line/fill types in AC are sorted by index#. There is no automatic sorting function available. But you can still sort manually using attribute manager.
Just move all lines from left part of AM Dialog into right. Then move back in sort order that you need.
I done this only at once in year, when updating OST. This is very crazy process.

That's what I was looking for. It went quick and smooth, thanks Z.

Just be careful. This can SERIOUSLY mess with your object libraries and any lines that you have already drawn in the project..

1. Create new project file using your std. templates (if you have).
2. If needed import line types (maybe also another attributes) from other sources (.pln, .pla, .aat).
3. Create a back-up copy of LineTypes in *.aat format.
4. After sorting also save a list of new line types in *.aat format.
5. Save file as new .tpl, if you have used your std. templates.

Note: I recommend you to use these changes in new projects, because of possible "conflicts" with some library parts. Most used LineTypes & Fills by std library parts are: "Solid line, Dashed line"+"Solid Fill, Empty Fill, Air Space, Minimal Space".
Be careful with some add-ons created LineTypes/Fills (for example ArchiStair creates LineType AStair_dashed)
