<T>It seems that when running version 14 with any other version at the same time two network licenses are being used.
Is there any way to run 14 and another version together but to only use one license?

This is not a problem if you have a stand-alone key.
Looks like this was a problem back in the version 7 & 8 days.
I couldn't see any newer articles on this.
Let's hope there is a solution.
Just "beeping" annoying that only one license is used for a single user key but multiple licenses taken up for network keys.
We are "encouraged" to by netwoerk licenses because they are cheaper but then they don't get the same functionality.
This would be fine if we were told about it in the beginning.
Why does Graphisoft change this and not document it (at least I never saw it documented and it certainly wasn't a warning in their press releases and promo info)?
Not an insurmountable problem but a pain in the rear none the less.
You can have as many versions as you like open on a stand alone dongle but the network key is different! It's a bit of a joke really!

Laszlo - what do you mean? This is how 14 always worked? And is meant to work?

Because what Barry said is correct in my experience of earlier versions and my office has i believe had confirmation of a bug where using multiple versions on one machine used more than one license. Think it was 11 and 12/13, but not certain of the exact version conflict. Anyway point is we were having multiple licenses used by single users who needed to have different versions open at the same time. And it was not meant to work like that - a fix was forthcoming from GS ... eventually.

I see no valid reason why using two versions of ArhiCAD at the same time on a single machine should use more than 1 license. What is the difference to having two sessions of 14 running in parallel?

I hope I have not given incorrect information but we will see.

By the way, I am part of the group who does not understand why one user on one machine uses up two licences.
The green WibuKey works differently than the CodeMeter key in this regard. On a WibuKey, 13 and 14 will use 2 licenses. On CodeMeter, that's one license. This has some technical reasons with how licenses can be programmed in WibuKeys. WibuKeys have three "license groups":
ArchiCAD 6.0-7.0 will use the same license
ArchiCAD 8-13 will also use the same license
ArchiCAD 14- will use the same license.
That is, if you run ArchiCAD 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 at the same time (which I don't recommend...) you will need three licenses.
