Yes Mark, it has changed in AC20. Have a look at this youtube video for more.
Marc:

Also, two new commands have been added: Floor Plan with current settings and 3D Window with current settings which replicate the earlier behavior.
There is a "Get Last Settings" command available for TABs in ARCHICAD 20 which provides the same functionality that was available in previous versions.
Check out the first half of this clip:
Excellent.
Thank you Vistasp, David & Laszlo

A wish fulfilled from 2007
OS "windows" to maintain View Settings

A bit off topic, but how do you keep
track of youtube videos
watched and newly posted content?

I want one list of all the AC20 videos.
I'm using playlists... but it's somewhat cumbersome to manage.

If you subscribe to the ARCHICAD YouTube channel it will indicate to you when you later visit YouTube that the ARCHICAD channel you subscribed to has new videos.
Unfortunately, there is no one big AC20 clip playlist, it is divided into playlists of topics.

I know this is a pretty old topic but I am not seeing a solution. This is a headache. Every time I switch to 3D it reverts to some off the wall "custom" default layer combination. The only way to change it is to go the layer comb menu every single time. I use the Marquise a lot to view pieces of my model and this a constant workflow problem. I no longer see the open with current setting option. its just F5 or ctrl F5. is there a default setting somewhere that sets what this layer combination is?
