topic How to display integrated sunshades (brise-soleil) in the window schedule? in Project data & BIM

Hi everyone,

I'm using Archicad 26 with the BR template, and I've added side-hung and sliding windows that include an integrated brise-soleil (sunshade) element positioned above the frame.

The sunshade is displayed correctly in both 3D views and elevation drawings, but it does not appear in the window schedule (element list).

I'm wondering:

Is there a way to have this sunshade element recognized and listed as part of the window object in the schedule?

If not, is it possible to create or assign a custom property or parameter to identify whether a window includes a sunshade — and have that field appear in the schedule?

Ideally, I'd like to avoid manually adding notes or 2D symbols to clarify this in the documentation.

I've attached screenshots showing:

The window configuration

How the brise appears in elevation

The current window schedule

Any suggestions, tips, or workarounds would be very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Schedules by default do not display additional geometry of Doors/Windows like casing, reveal, sunshades, etc.

It is possible to do, but you would have to know GDL Scripting and you would have to dive deep into the default Archicad Library Parts to instruct Archicad to display sunshades when Windows are generated in Schedules.

It is possible to create a Property with the "True/False" Data Type (they appear as checkboxes in Schedules), assign the Property to the "Window" Classification (these two things are done in the Property Manager Dialog), then make sure that you have the "Window" Classification set for these Windows, and the Property you created will be available for the Windows in the "Classification and Properties" panel of their Settings Dialog. You can use this Property to indicate whether the Window has Sunshades, and you can display the value of the Property in schedules.

I found this issue from way back in 2011 and 2016 and the links given there are not working any more. I would prefer not to draw each and every window over manually.

Also: can we somewhere suggest this issue to an upgrade for the future?

About that gld editing, there is a video by EIXO that shows how to do it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2o5oXANLXEs
