Apparently, you can export Grids as IFC without the need for manual Classification and mapping. In the IFC Translators Dialog, go to the Model Filter subdialog, and select the "Grid System and Elements" checkbox, and Structural Grids will be properly exported as IfcGrid types in your IFC file, according to Archicad Help:

Hello, how to classify archicad grid element ?
For one large project I'm ask to always attribute specific IFC classification, IFCbuildingelementproxy is not allowed.
I succeed to set correct classification using ARCHICAD classifications V2.0 and let the translator translate but for grid element I cannot see anything related to IFCgrid or IFCgridAxis.
I can create an other class but then what should be the parent folder to set it in ? Space, site, elements ?
Or whatever cause the main is that it hold the IFCgrid classification when exported.
Thanks

Operating system used: Windows
