<T>For those migrating a project from 14 to 15. I would like to use my 14 work environment preferences and modify it to incorporate changes in ArchiCAD as this is typically less extensive and also serves as a nice exercise to figure out what is new. My catch is I use a number of Cadimage addons but Cadimage is saying I must start with the 15 work environment....so yet another round of reinvent my preferences "wheel". Am I missing a simple kinder gentler way to make them happy and not have to do so much work.

Thanks in advance Cary</T>

You are correct...there is no "simpler" way of migrating to the AC15 work environment.
I tried to bring in my AC15 custom office work environment template and it didn't work.
It blocks out some of the functionality that AC15 has new.
For example, the "Renovation Filter Options" pull-down menus wont show up if you try to migrate an AC14 work environment...simple as that.

Sorry, you WILL have to recreate the "wheel" as they say....sorry.

Graphisoft actually recommends you recreate your entire work environment when switching to new releases. I brought my 14 W.E. into 15 and the toolbars did not show the new tools added into 15.

To make it easier, I took a screenshot of my main screen in AC14 and recreated the toolbar locations, shortcuts and custom toolbars by referencing different screenshots. Once you get the hang of it, it only takes about 15 minutes.

that's a good method.
The screen snapshot works well to relocate all the toolbars and palettes where they needed to be.

great.
