How to change a line number in Attribute Manager?

Hi,

I have a PLN file with a couple of MOD files.

Line type in one of the MOD files looks ok, but in my PLN "took" another line type, I suppose is because the line number that appears in my Attribute Manager. How can I fix that? Can i change the number line in Attribute Manager?

When you work with mod files it is imperative that all files have IDENTICAL attributes. I would match the mod files to the main file.

Attribute Manager + MOD files + PLN files + Type lines.

Hi All,

I have a PLN file with multiple Mod files. Some of the type lines are showed different in my final PLN file, I think this happen because the "number" # in attribute manager doesn't match in both files.

How can I fix that?

Unfortunately, you can only fix it with a fair amount of labor and pain. Working properly from the beginning (e.g., making sure all attributes are kept in sync) is the only way to proceed in the future.

Part of that means that every time you add or modify an attribute in one file in a group of hotlinked PLNs, etc, you make sure that you open all other files and add the same attribute (via Attribute Manager -> open the first file, then overwrite). A long-time wishlist item has been for a shared, external attribute file which would avoid this mess. (AC 14 has not granted this wish.)

At this point, you can use Attribute Manager to view (or print, etc) the assigned attributes for each file. Compare them to find what changes would have the least impact. Create a new set of attributes that merges all others, with this least change ... and then you have to edit the elements in each affected file to correct the now-wrong attribute (e.g., what was 'dashed' is now 'dotted', etc.)

The only thing I can guarantee is that it will not be any fun.
