Attributes Manager - problem with Layer combinations

Dear all,

Problem that I am dealing with is trivial. I am not able to import/export different Layer combinations between projects, even if they have the same (or almost) layers in each of them.

I was trying to do it through attribute manager, with exported .xml files - it didn't work.
I also tried to do it with .tpl file - the same outcome as with .xml

I'm little confused and looking for help.

Open Attribute manager in the file you want to import to.

Use the "Import" button to navigate to the file you want to import from.

Highlight the Layer combo in the list on the right.

Append.

Save a copy before you try, just to be on the safe side.

Hi,

That's literally what I did with .xml and .tpl file which I wrote about. Not working, in both cases, layer combination is empty (all layers hidden).

Is the "Include All Associated Layers" box checked?

Try selecting all of the layers and layer combinations on the right hand side - unless you want just one or two.

Also are the xml files from the same version - they are not always compatible across different versions.

If still no luck can you show a screen shot of the Attribute Manager as Marc did?

This option is only working with AC23. I don't have it in AC22.

Barry had it:
Select the Layer combo you want to import
(upper right box) and click <<Append.
It will be added to the layer combo box on the left.
THEN
Select each Layer you want to import
(from the lower right box). Again hit <<Append
you'll see that the layers are
added to the layers box on the lower left.

Hit OK and you should get a pop-up window
warning that you are making a change.

The checkbox in AC23 eliminates the need to manually select
each layer in a selected layer combo.
