When I create a Zone stamp, there's a little cross in the middle. How can I remove that?

I've looked in settings, but I find nothing;)

That is the location point for your automatic zone.
It will search for the bounding walls (zone boundaries) around this marker when you place the zone and also when you update the zones.

You can move it but you must leave it inside the zone boundaries otherwise your zone will move when you update.

It will not print so just ignore it.

The only way to turn it of is to make the zone a 'manual' zone.

Doesn't the zone text also rotate around this point? ie. Text rotation & always readable

As far as I know the zone text is independent of this zone anchor and will rotate about the text anchor point.
You may or may not be able to choose this text anchor point depending on if the object scripting allows it.
It will stay in the relative position of the zone anchor if you rotate the entire zone but it will pivot on the text anchor point.

The text can be moved where ever you want, even outside of the zone.
