Manually clicking each of the nodes in order to form the polyline hole, rather than magic wanding an existing polyline to instantly create the hole.

I need help! how do i create holes in zones? Can one draw into an existing zone using the polyline tool zone creation to create a hole into the zone, much like creating a hole in a slab?</T>

Couple of ways in the attached image.
1) Use the manual = polyline method (slow) or
2) you can use the slab tool to create slab with a hole, then use the zone tool with the inner edge method to automatically trace this slab... See image.
In essence you will ignore all error messages (ie say yes, and keep going)

You can not use the zone tool like the slab tool to create a hole in the zone.

Once you have place you main zone (by any method you want - manual, inner edge, reference line) just select it and click on the edge to bring up the pet palette.
Choose the subtract area icon and now draw the shape you want to cut out or magic wand on an existing perimeter.
Zones work just like any other polygon when it comes to editing their shape.

Just be aware if your zone is an inner edge or reference line zone then the update zone command will fill the hole in if there is not a zone boundary defining it.
You can always convert these zones to a manual zone once they are placed and then they will not update automatically with the update zone command.

Since I've never used zones, maybe I'm misunderstanding something here.
But when the zone is highlighted if you right click you can get to "Crop Zone"
which seems to work in 2d although it appears it is meant for 3d?

Also, as this got me looking at the zone stamp, I noticed that two of the listings in the zone selection area where not in order.
Seems like a minor thing, but tripped me up a bit for a moment.
Is this something new?
Is there a way to change the order?
I don't have any previous version loaded to see.
