Anything saved with AC9 could be opened with with newer versions

We have been running ArchiCAD for a number of years now.

Today I needed to open an old version 7 drawing. I loaded up Archicad 8.1 thinking this would open it. It did, but the program immediately became unresponsive. I have tried with different files incase they were somehow corrupted and on different machines. Is there a clever way of opening these for use in 13 or 14?

Thanks

Dear Phil,

Did you check this article of ArchiCADwiki, about opening ArchiCAD 7 files, I think you need ArchiCAD v10 to open v7 files, as i belive from since version 11 we can open only files from archicad 8.1

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.archicadwiki.com/Archicad%20 ...
Hope this helps.
