ZONE tool

Is it possible to add a new category to the zone tool?
I want to see:

Name of the zone (terrace)
floor material (polished concrete)
story level (for example npt +3.00)

i know I can use the Level dimension tool.. however I want to know how flexible is the zone tool

Go to menu Options>Element Attributes>Zone Categories. You can customize your own list of zones and their color and stamp appearance.

As to reporting the story level and floor materials, I am not so sure. You may have to use/create a custom zone object.

no I didn't mean that..

What I want to add is a new option..

There are like 9 diferent options to place in the plan view..

NAME of the zon
floor material
perimeter
area
heigh
etc..

I wan to add level dimention.. is it possible

The zone tool, out of the box will not do all that you ask. Basically what I am saying is that your best bet is to create an object (if you have some gdl skills) that will do this.

i'm starting to get into the 'zone' tool........
i want to add, say, hardwood floor calculation onto my finish plan.

here's a screen shot of a floor plan with various floor finishes. i want to add the area calculation for each finish onto the plan. is that what 'zone' tool can do ?
