Can't you just use Attribute Manager to import the penset from the hotlinked file? Assuming it's a pln you've hotlinked.

Cheers,
You can't have two different pensets active at the same time. I think that is the problem.

<T>Who here knows how I control the color(Pens) that a hotlink module uses when it is brought into a project?

All of my pens in the module are orange right now, I would like them to be different.

Thanks.</T>

ASAIK, modules use whatever pen set is active in the host file at the time. I've created a pen set specifically for displaying the module of a floor plan on the site, works fine.

I would be nice if you could choose if you want to use the attributes from hotlinked file or use the attibutes of "top-file"

OK, that all makes sense with the colors.

I found that my module was comming in at a different color because it was above the floor plan cut plane.
(So it was also dashed, and I hadn't noticed)

So, more questions.

First- this is what I am doing.
I am trying to use our house model as a module for our site plan.
I am doing this so that it will update as we change the plan.

I am finding when we update :
-The first time the hosue came in at a different elevetion than where we left it.
-But, the second time we update it it stayed at the elevation we wanted it at.
-But, the second time it shifted to the left.

So, do I not understand this module thing er what?
