<T>I have a 9 story apartment building with a series of repetitive units that I have made into modules, yet I am having trouble because the walls in the module file are not cleaning up with the main file. Are there some tips to get this to work?</T>

Are the walls in the hotlink on the same layer name as the host file? If they are, they should clean up.

If they are not, then make sure that the index number for the layer is the same for the hotlinked walls as for the native walls. Do this in the host file. And it needs to be done for each layer combination.

Hope it works!
I believe that being on the same layer is not a criteria for Wall clean up.
Being in the same Layer Intersection Group is.
Also, the most important is whether the Reference Lines of the Walls in question actually join. You should also check into that.
