Hidden layers will not be calculated for rendering, however elements behind the camera (or hidden from view by other elements) will be calculated, as far as I can tell.<BR /> <BR /> If you have a particularly large model, it can be helpful to also hide parts of it by using the 3D Cutaway function.<BR /> <BR /> A trick to saving several different 3D Cutaway views (with different parts of model removed), is to turn them in to 3D Documents. If you open a 3D Document you can allways pick 'Open 3D Source' and it will use the 3D Cutaway that was saved with the 3D Document.
