Work with Layer Combinations. I have one set up for 3D Visualisation for this reason. Hidden layers will not be calculated for rendering, however elements behind the camera (or hidden from view by other elements) will be calculated, as far as I can tell.

If you have a particularly large model, it can be helpful to also hide parts of it by using the 3D Cutaway function.

A trick to saving several different 3D Cutaway views (with different parts of model removed), is to turn them in to 3D Documents. If you open a 3D Document you can allways pick 'Open 3D Source' and it will use the 3D Cutaway that was saved with the 3D Document.

<T>Is there a way I can block all layers in a saved view so I can delete the rest of the drawing and render the view.
Other questions hide layers does it takes extra time to rendering or they do not count at all?</T>
