To expand a bit on what Jack said so succinctly, I'll briefly describe how I worked on what was coincidentally also a factory.

Each structure -- the factory itself, the Admin building and the staff recreation structure were created and modified in separate .pln files each having its own individual layout sheets with plans, sections, details etc. They were all hotlinked into a site.pln which contained within it, boundary walls, external and internal roads and a number of small structures like the gate-house etc.

As the storey heights were different for the admin building and the factory itself, each storey was brought in as an individual module.

Hope this helps.

<T>Hello,

I have created one factory building with actual ground.

Now I want security cabin & toilet block on the same plot in different file.

Now I want to show all three structures in Factory building file.

As I know merge command , can do it but what happens about Layers & Layer combination?

Second thing, I want to present separate drawings of all three structures on separate sheets with proper individual name.

Is it possible? Any help?

Regards,

Use modules. That's what they're for.

Thanks to all,

I am also thinking in the same manner as I know Hotlink Module also.

The only thing is that , if I want to take out quantities for cutting & filling of actual ground, then how can I mange this from site file?

Also, want to show part of the plot (which matches the Factory building) in the Factory building file , so that In section ground can be shown.

Thanks & Regards,
