<T>How do I make the Layer Intersection Group numbers quit changing on it's own? It wont stay the way I change it. How is it useful if the layer combo has an group number that overides all the other group numbers for every layer in the combo?</T>

Layer combos don't have their own layer intersection priority number.
The individual layers in that combo still all have their own numbers.

In the layer dialogue when you select a layer combination on the left you can see the intersection number next to all the individual layers on the right.
If you change one of the numbers on the left you must press the "Update" button under the layer combos to make the change permanent otherwise it is only there untill you change to the next layer combo.

If you select a layer on the right you can see its intersection number in each of your layer combos on the left.
If you change the number on the left while the layer is selected then you do not need to "Update" the layer combo. You can change as many or as few of the layer combos as you want and the change is locked to that layer combo until you change it again.
This is the best way to set the intersection numbers.
Select the layer on the right and change it in the combos on the left.
Then select your next layer and set them on the left again.
repeat for all your layers if necessary.

Remember that 0 (zero) means it will never intersect with any other layer, and not even when elements are placed in the same layer.
Thanks. I did not have my layer settings window stretched wide enough to see some important things I forgot about.

As a general rule, all Intersection Groups should be the same in every Layer Combination. For example, all DEMO Layers have and IG of 8 in all Layer Combinations in our template.

I don't see that working very well for me. Every layer combo has many walls that need their own group number.

this little corner of the building I am working on has at least 6 difference walls that you can see and several more that you can't see. They all need their own group number to clean up, and they all need to be part of the same layer combo.

That's different from what I was recommending. We do this too -- we have layers A-Wall, A-Wall_A, A-Wall_B, A-Wall_C, A-Wall_D, each with their own IG (1 through 5, respectively) to serve this purpose. The IG remains the same, however, regardless of the Layer Combination.
