You can use find and select in the 3D window, but it doesn't really identify what storey items are on, unless you can deduce that from their elevation. And on a very large project this may be unfeasible anyway...

Unless it's lots of stories, I would just keep the Find and Select dialogue open, and keep going up (SHIFT+F2) or down (CTRL/CMD+F2)systematically, pressing the + button.

<T>Is there a way (for the purpose of huge models) after finding a layer & see where the layer is located according to the story, view, or layout...or is the only way having to go to each view & clicking "find & select" until the item with that layers appears. In other words it would be neat if we selected a layer & find & select pointed us to the location to find the items on that layer...</T>

If I understand you correctly, you can use the Quick Layers to isolate a layer -- does this help?

G'day Stuart:
This may not help Veleda... but with tracker turned on... it should show which story a selection is on (in the 3D window).
