Hello Dwight, thanks for your quick reply.
I will try to explain better. Well, i have to export from archicad to c4d using the exchange plugin, within export option i have two option : by class or by material. The option i need is by materials, but in my archicad file i have all organiced by layer. The problem is that i have different element in each layer(walls, beam, complex profiles...) and if i select one layer an apply a material to this layer only a few elements change . I´m working in a big file and can´t change one by one. Maybe i´m making something wrong, what i do is: 1_find and select command and select the layer i want, 2_ go to the infobox and change the material apply to that element. Is this the correct way to do this? is there a workaround to solve it?

Thanks for your time.
