O.k.
First look at the pic. I posted previously.
There you see 2 very known fills, thermoisolation (green) and parquet (orange). This drawing is crated in Autocad and its a cutaway of a RC slab with fills that come above the RC core.
If I was to have a slab like this one in AC, yes, I would go to Options>ElementAttributes>Composites and then define my own material, skins, their thickness...Theres no problem here
But since there are no such patterns (thermoisolation, parquete...) in AC, I decided to go and make my own. So I read the manual and started drawing my custom pattern ( eg. Thermoisolation) that I would apply to one of the skins in my composite slab.
When I was finished I selected the pattern, hit copy, went to fill types, new, selected symbol fill, then pasted the pattern I draw previously.
Thers no problem here.
The problem is that the pattern I draw is never alinged inside its skin.
Look at the pic. attached.
You see a cut thru an RC slab. On the right you see the fill I created so that it matches the layer thickness ( 5cm) in the slab.
The pattern is seamless but how to put it in the right position? Look at the blue cross

You can't have an composite fill to fit exactly in a composite if you don't draw your wall/slab etc. at exact right place.
Else you have to do this manually with 2d tools.

you ruined that as soon as you posted a half a question and expected us to all try to guess what you meant. Obviously your time is too valuable to work out a complete question to ask the rest of us.

The others are right. Composite walls could fix your rotation problem. A user manual (or maybe just reading the on-screen options) is a wonderful thing, especially when it's used once in a while. If you don't want to do any learning on your own, don't expect us to spoon feed you.

I don't think the question was all that unclear...

But regardless, the short answer is that you can't have a scalable fill with an adjustable origin point in a composite structure.

Your options are to:
1) Use a different type of fill that doesn't depend on origins.
2) Draw it as an empty fill, and apply a 2D fill over the top later. I might mention that there are some LINETYPES that may work better for this than a fill (see the 3.5" batt linetype in the standard template file). Unfortunately, you can't use such a linetype in a composite structure, but they are very fast to add afterwards. The composite structure will give you snapping points, too.

Sorry for asking but what is the meaning of creating your own patterns, as cut fills, when you absolutly dont have any control, what so ever, in their futher editing.
I understand in using them as some 2d fills for floors, roofs, as tile patterns, but for cut fills, where you need accuracy, size and placement control, give me a break

Control of the Fill's origin is the easiest thing to do in AC.

But unless you are a medium you have to read the manual to learn how.

Or ask the Fotm users more politely!

Reading your posts makes me feel like being in a teenage chat-room!

Don't use such fills for insulation symbol.
It makes just trouble. Waste of time!
