<T>Is there an easy way to change the layers of multiple items, from multiple tools? I select 10 things from 10 different tools and need to change the layer of each item individually. There has to be something I am missing. I hide the layer I am changing to but its still a 10 step process.
Thanks.</T>

Thomas, you are my new hero. I'm speachless, that has been a bane for years. I should have asked sooner. Thanks.

Yes you should <E>😉</E> This command has been there for years. Was it version 5? Anyone? Or am I completely off target?

A little trick I like to use when changing layers of elements is to hide the target layer.
Then when you change the elements' layer they will dissappear onto the hidden layer.

This way even if you simply use the layer button (instead of the "Edit Selection Set" which is the best method) you will see that you still have some elements left selected. Then just keep choosing the layer from the layer button until all selected elements have dissappeared.

Of course you can now turn the hidden layer back on and all the elements are right where you want them.

Not a mind blowing tip but it does help you to see visually what is happening.
