<T>I've been working on remodeling jobs.... I like to have the existing condition on one or several layers that I can hide.... This allows for demo drawing, etc.s and is nice for before and after 3D views. I have noticed the walls on hidden layers are effecting visible walls. I end up with gaps in the visible walls created at intersections with the hidden walls....

Any ideas on fixing this problem?</T>

Sounds like an intersection priority issue. Make sure that the layers that should not interact with other layers have a different priority number. Also be sure and update the layer combination. See
quite a nice effect is to also turn your 'existing' layers 3D status from solid to 'wireframe' in the layers dialogue . . .

good for some presentation.
