topic Foundations in Elevation in Project data & BIM

<T>Hi, I'm a new user in an office full of hard-core hand draftsmen and I need some help (in more ways than one, but I'm sure I'll be back) so...

I wonder if there is a trick to getting foundation lines that are below grade to disappear/become hidden lines in elevation. I don't want to turn the layer off, as my walls will float over grade. Are 2D lines the only route?

Thanks!
The easy way is to use a heavy, white-plotting pen to place a diagonal hatch, like common brick, over it. This will "mask out'" parts of the foundation, and make it appear dashed.
