    <description>The only option is to hide the locked layers. This preference is at Options &amp;gt; Work Environment &amp;gt; User Preference Schemes &amp;gt; Dialog Boxes and Palettes.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
I like this option because you can't select locked layers anyway, so they really just take up space.&lt;BR /&gt;

The fly-outs display all layers that are unlocked. It's usually a good idea to set all layers that are Hidden to also be Locked.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
If you have a lot of layers turned on, I do not believe there is a way to limit which ones/how many are shown.</description>

that reminds me of a quote from a longserving conseravtive prime minister of NZ in the seventies called Robert "piggy" Muldoon on the high level migration of kiwis to Australia.&lt;BR /&gt;
