topic layers dialogue box in Project data & BIM

<T>Folks, when I place a pln file on my powerbook after working it on a large screen, the layers dialogue box runs off the bottom of the PB screen preventing me from accessing the cancel button or bottom most layers. I set the box quite small on my desktop machine before transferring the file. Can't find any info on this in help or past forum postings. Any ideas?

TIA</T>

Hey Brian,

THe dialog sizes are not saved as part of the file. They are unique to the Work Environment on each machine. You can transfer Work Environments, too, via export/import ... but it sounds like the issue is that your PowerBook WE just happens to have a bad setting that coincidentally mimics your other computer.

At worst, you could import just the Palette Scheme from a standard profile into your laptop WE... At best, maybe you can temporarily plug in an external monitor if the powerbook card can drive it at a higher resolution to allow you to find and shrink the dialog?

??
You may have to select a default pallette scheme and reset the pallette positions and resave the workenvirnoment for the powerbook. If you are not running at the max resolution of the screen you could temp change to the highest resolution , move the palletes and go back to the original resolution. Most likely you are aleady at the highest setting though.
