help with Layout

<T>Hi all, I am trying to manipulate the layer settings - turning off some layers – while in layout view. However, I am unable to make the layer invisible on the drawing. I tried updating a number of times, but still. The layer remains.

It also seems that layer combos don’t work for me in layout. Does anyone have the same problem? Is there something I can do about this?

Thanks</T>

Layer settings for the Views can only be changed in the View Set (usually with a Layer Combination).

Any layer setting changes made while in a Layout Window only affect elements placed in the Layout, like lines, text, etc. A Drawing can be placed on a layer and turned off as a whole, but not the individual layers within it.
