quick views + hidden line axonometrics

Still on AC 7v3, having a problem with using 3d quick views to set up axonometric views that can then be updated using Publisher to PM.

In the past this has worked perfectly, now I'm getting views systematically reverting to black background and block view instead of hidden line view, making the views unreadable and resulting in "unable to calculate view" error message in Publisher dialogue.

This is irrespective of checking or unchecking image option box in quick view definition dialogue, generally selecting layers and 2d selection boxes checked.

Looking at a workaround now using a flythrough of preset axonometric views saving out to PM, but the Publisher route has worked much better for me before, why problem now ?

Any ideas anyone ?

Just tested the flythrough saving out to PM using preset parallel views - works fine.

But as soon as I try and choose one of my 3D quick views (in fact the same axonometric view points as the ones above) set up earlier, all goes black again. It's a mystery.

This can be:

a) Wrongly set QuickView. This is easy to check - click on it, and if you see what you want, then the QuickView is OK

b) wrong Publisher settings. Check them (each 3D view separately) and see if it all is OK.

But that's just the problem, when I click the quick view that I have just defined I just get the black window and I can't figure out why when all the 3d window options were set correctlly and the 3d window view was fine before saving it as a quick view.
