The trick is to have the "View Editor" set to double pane with the "Project Map" on one side and the "View Sets" on the other...

Make your changes to the view in the "Project Map" side then highlight and "Redefine" the view in the "View Set" side.

It would be nice if GS would allow us to edit the settings in the "View Set" pane... Another one for the Wish List.

<T>Can anyone help me understand the proper way to work effectivly with view sets? Can you change the layer and scale settings from within a view in the view sets? At this point it seems that if I want to edit a view set I have to delete the viewset, go back to the project map, set my layer, scale ect. then drag and drop to the folder in the view sets. Am I missing something?</T>

Mark,

To change an existing view:

1. Set scale, layers & view options as desired.
2. Select the view(s) you want to change.
3. Use the pop-up as shown in the attachment to redefine the view(s).
