topic Window/Door Closure area/length in Project data & BIM

Hi guys.

What would be the best practice to count area/length of wall closure inside or outside the window or door?

I'd like to have a schedule with total closure area/length in the project. Would great to know area/length of closure for a specifi element.

Thank you.

If the closure is a part of the door/window object, then the GDL scripts will need to calculate the values you want and save them as a parameter.

You could then schedule those parameters.

If the closures are created from other elements, then you should be able to schedule the lengths of those elements (i.e. beams, columns).

Otherwise you could maybe add parameters to your door and window objects that use an expression to calculate the length of the closures (i.e. 2 x window height).

You can then schedule that property.
