BIMx - Real time 3D cutaway with upgrade?

how/where do you get the upgrade?
I have an ipad/iphone....what's the upgrade process?
is it free?
I see no info on the advert on this GS site that talks how to get it in my ipad......please advise.

do i login to itunes from within my ipad?
then what?
sorry....I'm not accustomed to using itunes on the ipad.
I don't download ANY music....sorry.

sorry, i should have said App Store. From your iPad. you should have received a notice inside the AppStore App telling you about the upgrade.

Received no notice from App Store on upgrade of BIMx on iPad.
So....functionality wise...I'm trying to figure out how/where do I go to
Use that 3D cutaway feature....

Rob, I don't remember the exact date that the BIMx app was updated on the Canadian store - I assume the same date it was updated on the US store. or it hasn't been updated yet. iTunes does its own notifications for upgrades.

3D Cutaway is a switch in the Settings from what I can see.

thanks....here's how I was able to resolve said issue:
1. pressed icon until blicking with "X" in ipad.
2. deleted BIMx (all list was lost).
3. re-downloaded the new BIMx (with that 3D cutaway plane line feature).
4. had to relocate ALL my BIMx models in the BIMx community by GS. (bummer don't remember all the names so some where lost).
5. then the upgrade worked.

wish the next upgrade of the free BIMx viewer would keep the darn list of projects youve' uploaded or saved...sheesh.

Cutawy looks good. If it can slice horizontal how about vertical ie section.
Or is this this on the drip feed.

Not only a vertical section....rather a "multi-plane" slicing feature. For example....have that "plan cutaway" plane and add a "plane slicing grid" where it can be positioned on the map diagram on the upper left of the icon so the user can determine how the building gets cut in a vertical manner.....think of it as the "marquee" function in Archicad....

The advertisement graphics for the BIMx is exactly what the user needs to see.....notice how in the advertisement on the GS website it shows a very translucent "wire frame" of the cube being depicted as the example?.....that's how the 3Dcutaway plane should function.

p.S.....GREAT job GS on the "info" feature on the objects....sweet touch!...bravo!
