I am trying it out to see if I can put a BIMx link in the message boards.
If so, ( I am sure you can ) this will be a very nice tool.

They should probably put a link to SyD in the Help Menu.

It does not seem to me that SyD and BIMx are comparable. SyD does not seem to have the features BIMx Docs offers.

From their site:

SyD will not replace any rendering engine, CAD viewer or 3D walkthrough feature, rather it focuses on questions initiated by Architects and then discussed with all participants involved into the planning and construction phase.

SyD™ is an ArchiCAD Add-on, and it runs from within ArchiCAD. So as an Architect you can take photos of the current view of your ArchiCAD model in 2D or 3D and share and discuss them with your Client. For this you need ArchiCAD© 13, 14 or 15 as well as the SyD Add-On to start using the SyD™ service from a simple web browser integrated with ArchiCAD.

I agree. They are not as comparable as I thought. You can't share ArchiCAD models with SyD and you can't mark anything up with BIMx.

And how do these relate to BIM+ ? https://www.bimplus.net/

I am seeing so many new apps for use with ArchiCAD I don't know which ones are here to stay, and which ones will soon give way to the others.

And why all the new apps ?

They are all made useless if you are using the right software.
