"BIMX file not supported. Please use ipad or iphone..."

Hello,

I created a BIMx file from a project I am working on.
I am still using Archicad 17.
When I tried to open the BIMX with "BIMX for Archicad" I got an error message stating that "BIMX file not supported. Please use ipad or iphone application".

What is the problem?

As a guess you are trying to open a BimX Docs project in the desktop application which does not have that ability.

Your guessing is absolutely right Eduardo! Thank you for your comment!

I understand now that one must save a perspective view on the BIMX format, and not saving as a BIMX document.
Afterwards I did just that and I was able to open it with the BIMX desktop application.
