BIMx Desktop & Web Apps - Measure function not working

Hello, I picked up an error in the BIMx Desktop App v2025.6760 (Windows 11).

The Measure function is not snapping to element nodes as it does in my iPhone & iPad Apps v2025.6742.

I have just tested this in BIMx on the web version in this BIMx Sample Model and the measure tool is also here not snapping to element nodes, same problem as the desktop app.

I made 2 recordings on my desktop & my iPad.

I tested the Measure tool on BIMx models published from Archicad 27 & 28 and the same problem is present.

For reference, here are some screenshots trying to take precise measurements in the Desktop app in the BIMx sample of AC28.

If I check the window measurements in the Element Info... you can see how the BIMx Measure tool is not getting it right, because it is not snapping to the element nodes.

(it does find the element surfaces though, but this does not measure correctly as it is not nearly accurate enough as intended / supposed to)

Can you please check on this urgently to fix this asap & let us know what we should do?

PS: Another problem is identified, we can navigate in the model in the iPAD & iPhone apps to continue measurements in other spots, but the view on the desktop & web apps are frozen in one place, so the measure tool can only be used in a fixed view of the model. We have to switch the measure tool off, then move the model & re-activate the measure tool to take additional / new measurements.

I agree with you.

Even the UI freezes when activating Measure tool, so you can’t catch any other point out of this frame despite all are fine in IOS-based BIMx.

Hi @Mahmoud Qenawi yes that too. You are right, we can navigate in the model in the iPAD & iPhone apps to continue measurements in other spots, but the view on the desktop apps is frozen in one place. The desktop app seems to be extremely not functional as intended. It makes me wonder what else is not functioning correctly.

For the above mentioned Measure tool issue & according to a reply from the BIMx technical support team, the previous mentioned issue was already identified & they’re working on.

The fix will be included in the upcoming update for BIMx in few weeks.

Hi @Mahmoud Qenawi, I was not aware or have seen any info or feedback from the BIMx technical support team, that you refer to.
When I posted this issue, no other / previous related posts showed up in the forum.
But thanks, it's good to know at least that they're aware of it & a fix will come soon.
