Missing forum features for the Wishlist section

Hi,

There are some missing forum features for the Wishlist section that would be nice to have.

This is mostly because of the distinction between "Comments" and "Replies", but not only that.

Replies are far better, and switching to them would be an upgrade to the Wishlist section.

It would also make the whole forum experience more unified and would be easier to navigate.

1️⃣ Comments can't be sorted.

The forum section uses "Replies" instead of comments. They can be easily sorted from Newest to oldest and that's just very convenient for navigating the replies.

It's kind of annoying that you can't do the same with the Wishlist, why wouldn't you be able to do that?

I personally don't see any reason why this would be an intentional decision, so please consider adding the sorting.

2️⃣ Wishlist comments have mandatory pages after a certain threshold.

In the general forum section, you can have all the replies on the same page, without having to navigate to a different comment page. I think this is a profile setting, but I don't remember exactly.

Anyway, it's very convenient to have everything on the same page and have an exact timeline of how the conversation has evolved and I think the same should be available for the Wishlist comments.

So for the sake of better navigation, please consider adding these.

3️⃣ Wishlist comments can't have replies or likes

Just like the above, this distinction between comments and replies comes with more limitations.

You can't reply to a comment, you can just post a new one. This is just unproductive and antithetical to how users use the comment section, and there are plenty of examples of people replying to one another through the comments.

Comment likes, are just an added small thing that is missing. It's nice to let someone know that their comment was heard and appreciated or approved.

Please consider adding those as well.

4️⃣ Missing Wishlist statuses

There are 3 Wishlist statuses that are not visible in the usual UI.

You can still see them by manually adjusting the URL.

I can understand why the Closed section isn't really necessary, but the On hold and especially Needs info should definitely be more visible.

So please do consider adding these sections either in the top part, or maybe on the side panel.

Maybe someone else has another idea of what could be improved 🙂
