BASIC interpreter similar to GDL

Since GDL is essentially a dialect of BASIC, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a stand-alone interpreter with a similar set of features and behavior. I write code using VSCode, and testing some of the more complex logical constructs or data structures would easier without the constant copy-paste to Archicad's GDL editor.

There a few other posts similar, but basically all the same, there are some options but not much.

I only use the built in editor but I believe there are a couple users that wrote some extra stuff for this purpose.

I'll try to find the post later.
