I created custom GDL object for use in the Grid Tool. I can’t replace the standard element.
I tried two ways:

1. Modification of the resources of the Grid Tool.apx.mui (unsuccessful)

2. Through a forward migration script - the method works, but when changing the parameters, the standard object is returned.

In what format is the object stored in the Grid Tool.apx.mui (apparently, the parameter script is separate from the rest of the scripts?) Is there any other way to replace the standard grid object?

Have you tried to call the standard grid element as a macro, giving it the values that you need, and implement your script to give you the desired result but without interference of the main library part ?
