Is it possible in some way to create a command that automatically creates a diagonal line on selected elements, e.g. column, beam, slab?

There is not really a simple way to do this. One suggestion is you could use a label to do that, you would then just place the label on any element.

Script the label to draw a diagonal line to its outermost points, would have to be scripted to handle different elements types. Will take some time to go through all the options and get the coordinates working. Not sure would be worth the time and not very userfriendly.....
