Profiles in GDL: How can I get X corresponding to the maximum Y?

From this thread (why is it closed to new replies?) – 'Profiles in GDL' – I learnt that we can easily REQUEST the coordinates of profiles' bounding boxes: 'xmin', 'ymin', 'xmax' and 'ymax'.

The question is: how can I get the 'x' corresponding to the point where 'y' has its greatest value, i.e., what's the x of ymax?

Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon Sonoma

That thread is nearly 8 years old, and old inactive threads get locked automatically.

The min/max is only reporting the min/max of the overall profile in relation to the origin.

It is not the actual co-ordinates for the points that are at the min/max.

I am not aware of any way to get the actual co-ordinates for the profile.

Is it possible to use the Parameter Buffer with the MIN and MAX operations? Though how to check the position in the buffer of the return to get the corrisponding other coordinate is questionable...

ps. Could you insert the Parameter Buffer values into an array, then cycle through the values i+2 till it matches, at which point your other coordinate would be i+1?
