Is the label extracted from the lcf from the same version of AC?
Did you load any called macros that the label might need?
What is the label from?
What 'new' type of label are you trying to import/what does it do?

<T>This seems like it should be simple, but I can't get a particular label that I have (extracted from an lcf) to show up in the list of label types in the Label settings window. I tried adding the .gsm to both an open library folder and a new lcf, but it didn't show up either time. The only way I have been able to use it was to use "Load Other Label..." but it disappeared the next time I closed and reopened the file. So can anyone tell me how to do it?

Thanks

Ben</T>

Thanks for replying Erika. No, the label is from the ArchiCAD 15 migration library, and is called "object label 15", and I am trying to use it in 18. I did check the folder that it was in for anything that might be related (macros), but there were only other label objects in .gsm. The reason I want to use that one is that it's the only label I have that will show centred on windows and doors in elevation by default (when I click "label elements"), and with a border and solid background. But if there is another label that will do it I don't mind what I use. I should also point out that I did successfully add the free version of "Label Everything" from BIMcomponents, so possibly there is something that needs to go with this label for it to work.

I hadn't tried this earlier, but as it turns out the label doesn't load in ArchiCAD 18 even if I add the full ArchiCAD 15 Migration Library.lcf. But it works in 16, where I had been using it previously.

So is there a way that I can get it to work (since it is compatible, as per my original post)? Or alternatively, can anyone suggest a label, free or paid, that suits my requirements?

Thanks
