<T>Hi,

I have this problem.

I have a composite walls, with structure and internal insulation. I set the parameters correctly (insulation is a finishing, as well as plaster). When I create a window in the wall:
- on the floorplan view I get the correct insulation.
- in the section view instead, the insulation as well as the plaster won't turn and hence the window is attached to the structural part of the wall.

How can i get the same result in the section and floorplan view? I attached an image of the section, hoping it clarifies better what I am experiencing as a problem. Thank you for any feedback</T>

Your window still looks a bit strange.
Is it something special? What's the material of the window?

I've made a simular composite myself with a window in it.
This is what is looks like.

Noting special. The wall is:
- Stone (bearing)
- Insulation (finishing, inside)
- Plasterboard (finishing, inside)

I just would love for the insulation and the plaster to cover the stone wall up to the window, providing thermal insulation. I managed to do that on the floorplan view but cannot seem to be able to do it in the section view.

Question to your design? Can you, from the design you posted, have the insulation go up to the window frame?

The window material is not that important I guess (aluminum). It was the settings of the wall finishing (the ones I posted here) that allowed me to have the various parts of the wall to turn in the opening and therefore get the desired turning of the insulation.

The problem being it works only in floorplan view. You can use the settings I posted and it should work (floorplan only of course)

Found it.
Didn't know you could set that at 'Composites' as 'Type'.
With me it's called 'Core' or 'Finish'.
But also only in de floor plan, not in the section.
In 3D the finish is all around the window.
