<T>I'm making a label to show just the ID's of windows and doors from hot linked files. If I use the standard 'ID' label from archicad, I get the information I want, but I need more control over it's look etc. Using glob_ID only shows the windows ID, not it's master ID and I can't open the 'id' marker to see the code used for calling up the master ID.
Any help would be great….</T>

As far as I know there is no way to bring up the Module's master ID. Hopefully in future hot-fixes / releases it will be addressed, but until then it's just going to sit there tempting us with something we can't have.

Interesting find. I haven't looked at the standard ID label for a while now and pretty much forgot of it's existence.

Wokka,
The first three options for Labels (Text, ID, Unique ID) do not use GDL Script. They are all a single line of text, with a Leader in front of it.
This is why you cannot open the GDL Object, because they don't have any.

About the Hotlink Master ID: it can be set in the settings Dialog of the given Hotlinked Module:
Make sure "Suspend Groups" is OFF.
Select your Hotlinked Module, right click and select Hotlinked Module Settings from the context menu.
In the appearing Dialog you can set it in the Master ID field.

It looks like this new GDL command that was introduced in the latest AC18 update may be the answer to your original question:
