      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;T&gt;From what i can gather, one cannot create a 'module' out of 2d objects (lines, for example) from a section or elevation view.  You can, however, do so from a plan view.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Is that correct?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
If this is correct, what is the work around here?  Creating GDL objects?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
If one has to resort to using GDL objects for 2D lines in section/elevation, how does one go about easily changing the definition of this newly created GDL object after it was created? &lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Is there an model-friendly 'editor mode' where one can easily change the object's 'definition', or is the only way to manipulate a GDL object, after you make it, is to wade through a scripting interface?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
I feel like i'm missing something obvious.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>The answer are Patches.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Draw a marquee around what you want and go Document-&amp;gt; Document Extras-&amp;gt; Create Patch.&lt;BR /&gt;

All the benefits of Modules and Library Parts with all their limitations &lt;E&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":winking_face:"&gt;😉&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/E&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;
