Materials (Surfaces in AC17) are not library parts, they are Attributes, so can be transferred to a file via the Attribute Manager (or copying an element with the Material assignment from another file). The Vectorial Hatching that can be assigned to a Material is also an Attribute and is handled the same way. Textures that can also be assigned to a Material are bit mapped image files that are loaded via the Library Manager.

<T>I seem to be getting older.... here is another how to import materials question. where is my problem ? Have loaded a list of archicad 15 materials and have added them to linked libraries in the Library Manager. They will not show. If I delete the old and original linked library the old materials will still show, but without the attached picture files... In the Attribute Manager I can delete all materials... but how to I load the new ones... So my question: how to load materials in archicad 15 thanks b</T>
